Consulate General of Türkiye in Tabriz, situated in northwestern part of Iran, 280 km far from Türkiye and which was founded in 1921, is one of the oldest Turkish missions abroad. The Consulate General is serving area in Iran includes East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan and Gilan.

The Consulate General has the importance for improving the relations between Iran and Türkiye with the other missions of Türkiye in Iran. The Consulate General is dealing with the consular affairs of Turkish nationals and Iranian citizens.

The relations between Türkiye and Iran is at a optimistic level with the help of both countries officials. However, there is still the potential for improvement. To achieve that the Consulate General of Türkiye in Tabriz is trying to improve the both countries relations in economic and cultural areas.
